Chris’ Biography
Chris Dell was born and raised in Sheridan, Indiana where he now resides as a life-long resident of Hamilton County. After graduating from Ball State University, Muncie in 1999, Chris began working for Union Federal Bank in Indianapolis. While living in Carmel, Chris met his soon-to-be wife, Michelle. They were married in 2002 and bought their first home in Zionsville. It was during the home-buying process that Chris took an interest in the real estate industry. Soon, he began taking night classes in real estate while working at the bank. In 2003, Chris began his real estate career with Carpenter GMAC Real Esate and sold his first home, originating out of a “floor call”. The rest became history…
Since then, Chris has sold homes throughout Central Indiana to include: Westfield, Noblesville, Sheridan, Carmel, Zionsville, Cicero, Fishers, Castleton, Whiteland, Greenwood, New Palestine, Indianapolis (all sides and downtown). In 2004, Chris began building his own investment portfolio by acquiring homes for rental income. By doing this, he expanded his knowledge and experience into property management. In late 2006, Chris began taking night courses again to obtain his Broker’s License. After passing licensure, Chris opened Horizon Real Estate of Indiana, LLC where he recruited 4 agents and opened a commercial office in the College Park area on the north side of Indianapolis. Recently, Chris has relocated his real estate office to his hometown of Sheridan, where he acquired office space. Chris specializes in Residential Real Estate, focusing on first-time homebuyers, relocations, move-up buyers, and new construction. Chris also has resources to serve clients in Commercial Real Estate and vacant land and property management.
While working for Union Federal and Sky bank, Chris developed extensive knowledge and skills in real estate finance which was immediately applied to his real estate practice. Chris worked directly in the bank’s Consumer Lending Department, originating hundreds of home equity loans across the country from California, to New York, to Florida, and throughout the Midwest. After originating between 15-30 loans per month in a 3 year time span, Chris harnessed extensive knowledge in regards to personal credit, appraisals and mortgages. Chris is also a former mortgage loan officer and consultant for Union Federal Bank. With almost 9 years of experience in real estate finance, he uses his knowledge to put his real estate clients in the best possible position during negotiations and securing loans.
In his personal time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three girls, family, and friends. He enjoys outdoor activities, camping, hunting, and working out. He also teaches self-defense and karate through the Gospel Martial Arts Union (GMAU), where he is also a student.
Chris is happy to help anyone who is looking for a real estate agent who is thorough and detail-oriented. He is always serving, and always concerned about the client(s).
